Bareilly: Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Rural Engineering Services Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Nodal Officer for Bareilly district, Saurabh Babu, conducted an extensive field inspection of several major development projects across the district to assess their progress and quality of execution.
During the visit, the Principal Secretary inspected the under-construction IT/Software Technology Park at C.B. Ganj, Bareilly. He reviewed the status of construction works in detail with representatives of the executing agency and emphasized the need to maintain high-quality standards while ensuring that the project is completed within the stipulated timeline. He directed officials to align project implementation with the government’s development priorities and ensure that the completed facilities provide improved services to the public.
As part of the inspection tour, he also visited the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Sidhauli, Mirganj, which is being constructed by the Rural Engineering Department, Bareilly Division. During the visit, he participated in a plantation drive under the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, planting a sapling within the institute campus and encouraging environmental conservation efforts.
The Principal Secretary further inspected the construction of the Forensic Science Laboratory near Jhumka Chauraha and reviewed the progress of the project. In addition, he carried out a field inspection of the 19.5-kilometre road connecting Mirganj to Sahora via Sihor, developed under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) Package No. 14144 by the Public Works Department (Construction Division-2).
During the inspections, Saurabh Babu instructed concerned officials and executing agencies to ensure strict adherence to prescribed quality standards in all construction activities. He stressed the importance of completing projects within the designated timeframe and handing them over to the respective departments without delay.

He stated that public welfare-oriented development projects must be given top priority and completed efficiently so that citizens can benefit from improved infrastructure and services at the earliest. Ensuring quality, transparency, and timely execution, he said, remains a key focus of the state government.
Officials from the concerned departments and representatives of the executing agencies were present during the inspection and review exercises.
